Pretty in Pink:

It turns out God's favorite movie is Pretty In Pink. So I'm thinking either God is a 35 year old chick with sentimental feelings for The Psychedelic Furs and thrift store fashion, or a near middle age dude with a fetish for redheads. Either way, I can be down with that.

But Molly Ringwald????
That's a whole different, scary fetish.

I looked almost exactly like that in grade 9. I should see if I can find a picture to post, it is quite funny.

Love your Tick quote btw. I'm still sad they cancelled that cartoon.

How did you determine what God's favorite movie was? I would have guessed He would have liked Reservoir Dogs or Police Academy III.

Micheal J. Fox doesn't like Pretty in Pink...
I really have nothing to back that up. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Ha! I was just talking about this movie last night. Never got into it as much as Sixteen Candles and Ferris Bueller. What's up with her leaving Duckie at the end? I always felt like he got screwed over in favor of the rich kid. But I only saw it once, so maybe I didn't understand the charm of Andrew McCarthy.

Baby D: If I told you I'd have to kill you. I'm thinking if she had aged well (Like me! heh) she would be remembered for more than Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles and ... was she even in The Breakfast Club?

C'lam: I *loved Pretty in Pink when it came out though I couldn't tell my friends because it was too "commercial". Also, I bought the previous Psychedelic Furs album (before the one with the theme song) and since they featured in a popular movie, they just couldn't be cool any more. Holy crap I'm glad I'm not a teenager any more.

HarleyWriter: I bet you're right. Do you think he likes The Breakfast Club?

Brian, Brian, Brian.... You're going to have to go slay a dragon to redeem your manhood ;) FBDO is def. in another class altogether but I don't remember if I've seen 16 Candles. I never really "got" the Andrew McCarthy thing.

Oh, and this is The Tick: http://www.thetick.ws/live.html

The quote is actually from the live action series, not the cartoon... when I was watching it, I laughed so suddenly I almost blew coffee out my nose.

Yeah, I'm really letting my feminine side out too much today. I'd better go back to talking about tits.
